im really excited to show you all this piece im working on!! i feel like its the best thing ive ever drawn
Ivern himself looked a little confused. He’d merely been lounging around in the sun ( a long overdue past time if you asked him! ) when he heard someone speak behind him and felt a.. something.. poke the back of his head. How strange! Usually when things sneak up on you they pounce, or bite, or - in the case they were of a more developed species that used weaponry - throw things at you.
Humans especially, they really liked throwing things! Why, half their ‘sports’ nowadays involved throwing something around. Pretty cooky!
Nonetheless, the Greenfather leaned backwards to see what was causing such a ruckus. Ah! A Vastaya! That’d explain it. Curious creatures, they were.
“That’d be my head, I do believe!”
The Vastayan yelped and every feather of his body bristled when the giant head turned around, and even spoke! He dashed backwards to take distance from that talking tree. As a traveller, his eyes witnessed lots of crazy things, but that was something that exceed his imagination.
Rakan took a deep breath, well, it was just another magical creature. Nothing he couldn’t fight or in worst case, just run among the forest.
“ Y-you can talk?! ” He giggled, walking towards Ivern again. “ What are you? ”
“I can talk!”
Ivern spun around to face Rakan. His leaves rustled with the movement, a few drifting to the ground. A pleasant smile made it’s way onto his face. He was trying his hardest to not be threatening.
“I’m an ent. A walking, talking, tree-person. I guess it is a little odd.”
“Well, you’re not wrong! It’s the first time I see a tree-guy, and these eyes have seen MANY weird things.”
Rakan smiled in response, yet still studying that peculiar being; rather amazed than scared despite the huge size of what he thought it worked as legs, or part of the body. However, it didn’t seem to be dangerous, even if there was an intriguing air surrounding the big head.
“By the way, I’m Rakan. Lhotlan dancer and musician. Do you have a name or something?” The golden bird asked with great curiosity, leaning on the tree behind his feathered back. He had no hurry, not even a conclusive place to go anyways.
